Allergy Symptom Evaluation

Allergy Symptom Evaluation is designed to untangle whether your sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, or cough are driven by allergies, a viral illness, or something in your environment. During this telehealth visit, we review when symptoms started, what makes them better or worse, your living and working conditions, and any history of asthma, eczema, or sinus infections.

We then walk through a clear plan that may include antihistamines, nasal sprays, eye drops, or short-term decongestants when appropriate, along with practical strategies such as allergen avoidance, air filtration, and nasal rinses. If prescription medications are recommended, we send them electronically to your preferred pharmacy and explain how to combine options safely. Because many people are unsure whether their symptoms are "just allergies" or an infection, we also look for signs of colds, flu, or other acute illnesses. When your symptoms suggest a broader issue-such as a new respiratory infection-we can easily transition your visit into an Acute Illness Telehealth Visit during the same appointment. That means you do not have to start over with a new provider if it turns out you need care for a minor infection instead of, or in addition to, allergy treatment.

Our care does not end when the video visit closes. If you notice side effects from medications, if your symptoms change, or if you are unsure when to seek in-person testing, you can reach out between appointments for clarification. Over time, if seasonal patterns become clear, we can help you plan ahead with pre-season medication strategies so spring or fall does not automatically mean weeks of misery.

You receive thoughtful, evidence-based guidance from home, with one clinician who remembers your history and helps you breathe easier-literally and figuratively.
